Introducing Jenny Goodman

Jenny Goodman is the co-founder and COO of Tilit NYC. A Manhattan-based company specializing in chef wear and custom uniforms for hotel and restaurants. She runs her business together with her partner Alex and little baby girl Maly.We asked her to share some tips for busy mothers.

Jenny’s Top 5

1. Being a business owner and new mama I needed to simplify my life so I am really into a  daily uniform right now. I  wear my Levi’s wedgie fit or 501 jeans basically every day.

2. We own a workwear brand for the hospitality industry called Tilit, so we spend the majority of our free time eating out to visit friends and clients. Olmsted is not to be missed for a date night, they have a magical backyard for drinks and the food is beautiful, inventive and delicious.

3. I can’t live without my sakura bloom ring sling. I have 3 of them, it is so easy to use and comfortable.  Not to mention that the fabrics are seriously beautiful, they even have a cashmere one for winter!

4. I am a nursing mama and nursing bras make you feel the farthest thing from sexy. I stocked up on cute bralettes instead, I love the surprisingly supportive superfine non-wire bra from negative underwear.

5. I drink the hell out of mother’s milk tea, like 5-6 cups a day. I don’t know 100% sure that it works but nursing makes you so thirsty AF and at the very least it helps to keep me hydrated.

6. Maly has a personalized iPhone teether from Etsy that my girlfriend gave her and it’s the best toy to take on the go. It fits easily in my bag or pocket, it’s all natural and safe and she loves chewing on it.

EAT THIS!

We all hear that collagen is the major part of making us look young. And we know the body, unfortunately, isn’t as great as it was at making it after the age of 25 so we have to get it from other sources ourselves.

So to boost your youth we have a bunch of foods you should start eating lots of asap!

Spinach, It’s packed with lutein and this hydrates your skin and fights wrinkles it’s also packed with vitamin C which helps the body produce collagen.

Flaxseed, contain large amounts of Omega 3 the more our we eat the more we help disguise our wrinkles and lines.

Salmon, is loaded with Omega 3 as well and it helps us create stronger cells. Strong cells are more able to support the structure of our skin.

Blueberries help neutralize free radicals that break down healthy skin tissue.

Oysters contain a high concentration of copper which is essential in helping our bodies build collagen.

These are only a few out of plenty other foods like kidney beans, green olives, avocado oil and more.
